restoring bytes
One of my folders on my desktop contains about 15 files. suddenly those files say 'zero bytes." How can I restore the content? Running MacOS Sierra version 10.12.6 Thanks
Restore from your Time Machine backup.
Do you have Documents and Desktop syncing with Optimization selected in System Preferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options?
If so, copy the files from iCloud Drive to a folder other than Documents and the Desktop. Go to System Preferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options and turn off syncing or if you want to sync, turn off Optimization. Rearrange the files as desired.
