Reset mgmt cont.. battery removable:When do you replace battery????

Steps per Apple. Shut down MacBook. Remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Press the power button to turn on your Mac.

This seems really lacking in concise sequence to complete... Vague. :-(

Are these better? It would help if you described in greater detail what is it you’re trying to achieve.

Reset SMC on Mac or MacBook:

You've got a point. The actual reset is done in step 3. So you can replace the battery after that.
