Why would my MacBook Pro switch off suddenly wh...
I have a new MacBookPro14,1. The current battery cycle count is at 13. On two occasions while using battery power, my MacBook just switched off. When I tried to turn it back on, it switched off again as it loaded. Then after I connected it to the power outlet, the computer started normally. I checked the charge on the battery and there was charge remaining. The second time this happened, the battery was down to 50%. The first time it happened, I think the charge was down to 35%; I can't remember with certainty, I thought it was an unimportant glitch and I pushed it out of my mind.
Please, can someone give me an opinion?
If it is the same problem I had when my MBP, it could be that motherboard is defective. I suggestion you call your local Apple Store and make an appointment for them to examine it. Afterward they will tell you your options.
