Projector will not display movie playing in Sup...

I am trying to use a Epson projector to play a movie in my Apple Superdrive and it will play on my Macbook screen just fine but it will not project the movie on the screen. A blank box comes up but the movie is not playing. Its a Disney DVD so I assume there is some sot of protection, is there any way around that?

Just wonder if the connection between MacBook Air and Epson projector just fine.
