mirror my music, counting through match?

Hi all

After quite some time playing music through the apple-network (streaming my library) on the secondary mac at home, I decided to use the high-resolution-files I have stored on my primary mac (in my atelier).

I Imported the files with a "trick":

I first moved the whole library containing high-resolution music onto an external hard disc, copied the iTunes library.itl onto the disc as well, and opened it on the target computer (alt-key pressed). Thus, I had access to all files, which I then let iTunes move to its original place. I took a while but worked quite good.

Some problems arouse though: Many tracks seem to have lost the connection to the locally stored file, and many files are marked as duplicate.

To solve this, I wouldn't mind repeating this operation, but I'm not sure if I did it properly or wether there's even a better method to have high-resolution files on both computers, avoid duplicates and missing files, have both music-library being connected to the same library.itl and so on.

Help, anyone?

Many thanks!

david
