Input not audible when recording

I am recording a couple songs at present, and although the meters on the interface and Logic tracks are definitely showing input coming in, and I can play back what I am recording, I can not hear the input as I record those tracks.

The problem has been here for a couple weeks, so I have just persisted to record with one headphone off so I can hear the guitar / bass / vocals externally, but obviously this is not ideal.  Have I maybe switched something off that I shouldn't have or does anyone have any suggestions of what the cause of this may be?
