Unable to connect to Office 365 account

Hi,

I'm running Sierra 10.12.6 and Safari 10.1.2. I'm a teacher and we have our own email domain (well not sure how to call this).

I can access to the online office.com from Chrome but I cannot from Safari. Actually that's not the problem as I can live with Chrome. The issue is that I've installed office and I've license from my school but I cannot connect to my account from word or one note for instance.

I've read that it was an issue with "Extended Protection for Authentication on the ADFS servers". The admin of the school has no clue on how to solve this issue. I've tried to change the default browser but it doesn't change anything.
