Purple bar in middle of screen?

Hey,

     This is my first post, so give me grace. Basically, I have a 2011 13 inch MacBook Pro, and just recently I have seen a small purple bar in the middle of the screen. It is not visible on a white screen or a screen with color, but only on a full back screen, or if there is black in its area. It does not go across the entire screen(it is horizontal by the way) but just in the middle. It is about 5mm tall and 1.5in long. In the past few days, I have put a very heavy load on the Mac, and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have not put pressure on the screen to cause this. I'm not sure if the Intel graphics are bad or if it's a bad screen. If you know the problem please let me know.
