Spotlight Problem

Hi, I'm running Sierra 10.12.6. My spotlight search results column seems to be frozen. No matter what I type, I get the same results and I can't open anything from those results. Also, the "documents" heading is highlighted in blue. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!
