Which device is my Music Library Stored On?

Is there an easy way for me to work out which device my music library is stored on?

Normally, iTunes on your computer is the “master” library. However, if you bought songs on your devices, but have not synced, or specifically downloaded, your purchases to iTunes, then that Library would not be complete either.

If you subscribed to and enabled iTunes Match or Apple Music iCloud Library, then those cloud services might have the most complete Libraries.

Is there a specific reason you’re asking the question?

It's stored on your startup drive in the /Home/Music/ folder.

Thanks for your help,

I need to wipe my Mac air and I'm worried I'll be wiping my library.

Then why not make a backup on an external drive before you wipe the drive. Why do you need to wipe the drive?

Yes, erasing your startup disk will erase everything that’s stored on that disk, including all your our documents, Music, Photos, etc. You need to make a backup or disk clone to an external drive first. You should have a backup, anyway - drives and computers do break.

Why do you think you need to wipe your drive?

Apple say its the only way I can make space on my "vintage" mac book allow me to update my software

See Make a split library portable for thoughts on moving all of your iTunes data to an external drive.
