Adding attachments to iPad Mail

I've never liked my iPad, so I seldom use it. Today, however, I need to send a song from it to a friend of mine. How do I do that? I can't get past clicking on the paper clip. Oh, the file I want to send is a song in iTunes.

Is the song on your iPad? It would be much easier sending the song from the computer.

It should be on my iMac, but it's not. Isn't there a way to send the song from my iPad to my iMac?

This sounds like it's a song you purchased in iTunes.  If so, then you purchased the rights to listen to the song.  However, your friend did not.  You may not send this song using email as the recipient did not purchase any rights to hear it.
