mac yosemite arbitrarily duplicating partial co...

This has gone beyond the nuisance level when noted a "MacIntosh HD" file sitting under my user name. This "rogue" file's contents are 1.9 MB, as opposed to the genuine file containing  200 GB.

 

Anyone experience similar phenomenon; if so, know why this anomaly happens?

 

Prolly ok to just delete it since content so small but for now I've labeled it a rogue file.
