Midi files not playing as expected

Hi All,

I have just started look at some old midi files that i used to use back in the day using cubase on a pc.

They load ok into Logic but when i play them back all the instruments seam to play out of time with all the other instruments within logic.

Could anyone advise please?

Sounds like soft quantize is on... I'm on Logic 9 so I can't say it's exactly the same with X.

Go here:

And here:

You have to set the quantize factor in the Inspector to the highest value which is....  (Off) 3840

This is Logic's non-destructive auto quantize, I'm guessing this is what's messing up the timing.

Make sure All Advanced Tools are on in Logic/Preferences/Audio

Thanks for the reply

All advance tools are turned on when i have looked at Logic/Preferences/Audio

Am i correct in thinking that i need to make sure the Quantize is set to off on each track?

If so i have just checked some of the files i been trying out and when i loaded the midi files each track is already set to off when i have looked at the Region:chours chords

But they all still seam to play out of sync

sorry this didn't solve the issue
