Why has Apple not made an alphabetization funct...

After all of these years in business I am wondering if anyone knows why Apple has never added a drop down option to alphabetize Safari bookmarks and Mac Mail folders?  It seems to me to be no brainer that it is a needed function.  With all of Apple's functionality, leaving an alphabetizing function out is like having a 21 century program with a 1980's Dos glitch. Does anybody know the answer to this annoying oversight?

Yes, agreed the Safari bookmark is an annoyance.

The workaround is to https://www.macworld.com/article/3072216/browsers/why-cant-safari-sort-bookmarks -alphabetically.html
