Safari editing broken

Since updating iOS to the latest version, when I try to edit at a point in one of the upper lines of any long piece of text in Safari, the 'magnifying glass' disappears from view. The view changes to the bottom of the text. So I have to proceed without being able to see what I'm doing.

Are others seeing this serious bug please?
