Icloud photo issue

How do I get my photos off of icloud.  I have 50,000 and I just want the last 400 but they automatically were downloaded to the cloud from my phone and now I can't seem to get them off of my phone or icloud.

Is your iCloud photo library turned on? Are you able to see the photos if you go on the iCloud.com website?

Open the Photos app and delete unwanted photos there. The deletions will sync to iCloud.

Yes but I cannot download those either.  It's like it keeps thinking then jumps back up to the top.  I really wish I could have downloaded the pictures off of my phone to my computer.  I didn't realize Icloud takes them immediately. 

If your iCloud Photo library is on then yes it will sync automatically. Are you using the phone or are you on a computer?

at this point I am on an old macbook air, new macbook, ipad and iphone trying to get these photos.  And an old trouble spot I had before where it says my itunes password is wrong is coming up after I spent 2 hours on the phone with apple yesterday.

Is your Apple ID the same for both your iTunes account and iCloud? Just go ahead and click "Forgot Password" and reset it. Write it down and enter the password slowly when you type it in. When you are able to connect to iTunes you should be able to extract all your photos onto your computer to view.

It's not wrong that is the problem.  There is some glitch going on and I was on with Apple for 2 hours to get it all fine yesterday and now today it's back to trouble.

Clarification question - are your photos still syncing to iCloud?

If you want the photos on your computer, open Photos, go to Photos/Preferences/iCloud and set up syncing. Then go to System Preferences/iCloud, sign in, and check Photos syncing.
