How to get contacts and calendar on icloud?

Hi.  Cannot sync my mac bk pro with icloud despite numerous attempts, including scanning websites for help.  Photos come through, but contacts and calendar will not sync, ugh...  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure both have an iCloud account in the respective Preferences and that the box is checked in System Preferences/iCloud.

Try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing.

Last resort  - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
