Uber started to block my account after I added Apple Pay

Since July 11 Uber stopped accepting Apple pay in Canada. I created account while in Canada and could not request a ride in Canada. However when I fully reset my iPhone, set up as new and instal older Uber app 3.248.4 I could order a ride in States.

Current issue with Uber that it stopped accepting Apple pay without any notification or public approval.

my friends who also never had an Uber, registered their new accounts. With credit card they could request a ride, however after adding Apple pay something happens and they were unable to take any rides, even with previously working payment method.

Uber told me that my bank declined Apple pay transaction. And it wasnt true at all.

all my 5 banks told me that Uber has sent no preathorisation request at all.

Once apple pay declined account is useless and other payment methods that worked before are also declined.

I think Apple should be informed about practice that uber started to implement by rejecting Apple pay.

My sister used Apple pay for uber in Canada since early 2016 and it was all working. However now she also cant take any ride. Uber support stated that everything is good with her account.

PS: as a conclusion Apple Pay still working fine with all other apps except uber.
