EtreCheck results: software removal/corrupt fil...
Hi - I was attempting to update MalwareBytes and ran into an error, attempted to uninstall and reinstall... more errors. The MalwareBytes staff recommended I run EtreCheck and delete any fragments that might be floating around the hard drive. I did run EtreCheck and the report returned several fragments in various system folders. But I noticed that the report also said I hadn't rebooted the computer in 28 days and "Last shutdown cause: -60 - Corrupt filesystem". So I rebooted the computer for good measure and ran EtreCheck again. The check again turned up various malwarebytes files (which I'm not able to locate, despite viewing hidden files) and it said that the hard drive rebooted today with "Last shutdown cause: -60 - Corrupt filesystem." I did a File-Restart to reboot the computer, so I'm not sure why it's showing a corrupt filesystem.
I am definitely not one of those folks who can understand everything the EtreCheck report is communicating... can anyone help me 1) figure out how to get rid of all the malwarebytes fragments so I can do a clean reinstall, 2) figure out why it would be stating corrupt filesystem and 3) why it's reporting performance as Below Average when so few line items came back in red?
