Homepod design re: RoHS technology
In looking at the internal design of the Homepod, a question arose regarding RoHS technology and product longevity. For those who don't know, RoHS is an international manufacturing standard that has resulted in the removal of lead from the solder used in manufacturing. This has served to make the solder brittle, drastically shortening the lifespan of all electronic devices manufactured under it. The heating and cooling cycles of such devices are bad enough under RoHS, but now acoustic energy is being added to the mix. So my question is, has Apple taken steps to mitigate such failure potential with the Homepod design? I ask that, as it appears from what Apple has released to date, that the woofer is firing directly at the circuit board(s).
