How do I stop my MBPro from connecting to a spe...

I have several Apple devices, including my MacBook Pro, and a secondary iPhone, which happens to be a 4S. My home WiFi gives me the possibility of connecting either on 5 GHz or 2,4 GHz (for older devices). All of my devices connect to 5 GHz, except for that iPhone 4S. Because it can only connect to 2,4 GHz, the WiFi speed on it can only be up to around 30Mbps, while on my MacBook Pro, for instance, I can go up to around 280Mbps. The problem is that once I connect to the 2,4 GHz WiFi on that iPhone, that connection is shared among all my devices and, for some reason, every other time I turn on my MBPro, it connects first to the 2,4 GHz. Of course, this means I have a much slower connection, and am wasting most of the Mbps I'm paying for, until I manually reconnect to the 5 GHz WiFi. I've tried removing the 2,4 GHz connection from my MBPro but that all removes it from my phone, so every time I come home, if I don't remember to reconnect and put in the password again, I continue using up my phone's data service. Any way I look at it, it's rather impractical.

So is there a way of blocking or preventing this specific connection from being synced? Or, if there isn't, is there any way of stopping my MBPro from syncing other device's connections completely?

I believe that is synced via Keychain; if so you could turn off Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Keychain but that would also turn off all other things synced with Keychain.

Have you considered Apple menu > System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi (in left sidebar) > Advanced and then drag the connections to the order that you want (i.e., the 5 GHz one on top)?
