what is better to my MacBook battery? use it pl...

hi, i have a 12 inch MacBook (2016) with retina display and i want to know what is better for my battery when i am using it in my home, should I use it all the time pluged in, or is better to charge it to 100 % and then disconnect and use it unpluged.

Thank you!

it makes no difference. If you need the laptop working all day and you don't need to be portable keeping it plugged in wont matter. The device will only charge when necessary.

Hi,

The only difference it will make is that by discharging and charging the battery, you'll be adding cycles to it, and the battery has a finite number of cycles. According to Apple, it's "up to 1000 cycles," but based on my experience here, most people don't reach that number, and rarely someone will exceed that number.

Mine is currently at 1237 cycles and still works. Condition says replace now (which I plan to do) and only lasts about two hours from fully charged. No swelling or other problems though. (Mid-2010 model with 8gb RAM)
