Do I need to coninue with Kaspersky anti

I have had Kaspersky anti-malware for my PC desktop. Since I replaced my PC desktop with an iMac, should I renew my protection with Kaspersky for the iMac? I had heard Kaspersky is not needed with an iMac, but I would like to have that confirmed.

NO!!!! There is no virus for it to find so why waste all of the computer resources search for a nonexistent problem. Besides that it has been known to cause problems with the operating system on Mac. So do renew it. Also uninstall the old version.

Not only is it not needed, it will do far more harm than good.

Do not install any antivirus product on a Mac. There are no viruses in the wild that can affect macOS, and antivirus will not stop malware.
