Logic Pro 9

Greetings.   I've used Logic Pro 9 on my iMac for years now, & never had a problem bouncing & burning my compositions to CD.  Over the last couple of weeks, I can't seem to do this, no matter what.  I'll get all the way to the end of a piece of music and at the last second, the bounce/burn process is suspended and I get a message that Logic has quit unexpectedly, and I should click re-open & send a message to Apple in the process.

I doesn't seem to matter if it's a large or small file.  Everything else seems to be functional. 

I have Logic Pro X on another computer, but in many ways I prefer the format of Logic 9, and I have a legacy library of plug-ins and sounds that I would lose if I upgraded to LP X on this iMac.

Please advise.  And thank you in advance.  I always get good advice here.
