Magic Mouse problem in Mac Photos

When I am editing photos in Photos, a slight movement of Magic Mouse causes Photos to exit from editing a particular photo and return to the list. Why? How do I correct it? (Configuration: macOS Sierra, version 10.12.6; iMac13,2)
