Has anyone ever gotten a refund for iTunes gift...

So I was scammed earlier today by people claiming to be from IRS and the state police. They had me pay them money through gift cards and obviously to my stupidity today I fell for it. I think I was just taken a back by all the information they were throwing at me and literally didn't know what to do. However, a few things the person on the phone said that irked my curiousity and i immediately contacted my bank and have also informed the police who have informed me of this scam becoming a major issue. I was also asked by them to contact apple and I have emailed apple support since it was post their working hours.

I wanted help in the matter. I have those gift cards but i had given away the codes. Please help me how to go about solving this problem, if in fact there is something that can be done.

This is Apple's user discussion forum.  You'll need to contact Apple's official customer support

Contact - Official Apple Support

The redemption code is the product, not the physical card.  IF code has been redeemed already, refund may be difficult.  If scammer plans to sell redemption code, it may not be redeemed at this point.  But I'm just another user, not Apple.

May 2016 - Fraud Alert: Scammers Get Victims to Pay With iTunes Gift Cards - https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/apple/apple-talks-acquire-jay-z-s-tidal-reports-n602 101 - "NBC News contacted Apple about this. A spokesman said that if someone contacts Apple Support after sending off the gift card code — and the money has not been drained from the card — they can freeze the account and have the money refunded to them. If the money is already gone, Apple advises people to file a complaint with the FTC. "

I was also a victim of itunes gift card scam.  Bought my first Macbook pro from beat buy in July 2017, 3rd week after, it started acting up.  Hearing moving object inside. At 4th week, contact bestbuy and won't take it back or replace it,  told me to contact Apple. In the process of contacting Apple @ 18006762775, I was scammed. First two times I contact Apple they have the record. I went to their store and they could not find what was wrong. Hours after I left the problem came back. Contact Apple for the 3rd time except this time I was scammed by someone named Chris Johnson. Apple do not have mu 3rd time record of calling.  He attended to me and talked to his supervisor according to him and they conclude it might be defective.  They said they will replace it and that I will send my macbook pro back to them. They ask me to pay a 200dollars security deposit via iTunes that it will be reimbursed via check upon receiving my defective macbook and also sold extended warranty to me on the replacement macbook.  Out of been tired and don't want to deal with bestbuy drama and going back and forth with apple store I decided to take it offer. He transfer me and gave me his direct number with Case number APP50XA. His direct number according to him is 1844-433-7134.  After 4 days that I did see the replacement macbook amd I started probing, I realized that I have been scammed.  Went to police station called apple and all they could do is apologize. They couldn't do anything further.  Bestbuy make my first experience with macbook a nightmare.  I understand how you feel but you are not stupid.
