How do I discontinue paid subscription to The D...

How do I discontinue paid subscription to The Daily app?

I don't have any subscriptions so I don't see it on my iPad, but if you go into Settings > Store, tap on your account on the right-hand side and select View Apple ID, do you get something along the lines of 'manage subscriptions' with the The Daily shown which you can then turn' off' ?

I've had the app uninstalled for over 2 weeks. I went and checked this setting and it was set to Off for Auto-Renewal. I keep getting billed anyway. It now says it expires August 5, so I have to wait a week to find out if this is in fact true (I never noticed a date on it before). Apple is zero help with this issue. All they ever respond with is the link for Purchasing and managing auto-renewing subscriptions. This is frustrating.

Anybody else having this issue?

Thank you for the help.

There is a place to manage subscriptions in your iTunes account accessed through the iTunes app. Sign into and view your account and towards the bottom of the is the link the manage subscriptions.

there is NO OPTION to TURN RECCRUING ON OR OFF!!!!!!!!!!

Guess we are stuck with this app, what a unprofesstion organization!!!

They me the same suggestion

You can cancel your subscription by opting out of auto-renewal. You will no longer be charged once your initial subscription term ends.

To do this you will need to go through your iTunes settings on your iPad or computer.

On your iPad:

1. Go to your iPad settings and tap on Store settings

2. Tap on your Apple ID

3. A box will pop-up – tap on View Apple ID and enter your password if necessary

4. A new box will appear – scroll down to Subscriptions and tap on Manage. Here you can switch from weekly to annual or turn recurring billing on and off.

On your computer:

1. Go to your iTunes Account Settings.

2. Scroll down to Subscriptions under settings and click ‘Manage’

3. Here you can switch from weekly to annual or turn recurring billing on and off.

If you don't have the option to manage in itunes, you're probably not signed in to the correct account.

I only have ONE ACCOUNT and YES I can log in to it, this is INSANE!!!!!

Ranting and behaving as a child won't help, it just makes you look silly.

Perhaps I should have been more explicit. Signing into your iTunes/Mac App Store account in the iTunes app on your Mac or PC allows you to manage subscriptions. And yes, it is definitely there.

It most certainly IS NOT!

In the iTunes app on a Mac or PC;

On the computer, open iTunes and click on the iTunes Store link on the left side of the window. In the Quick Links area on the right side of the Store’s main page, click the Account link. In the box that pops up, log in with the user name and password you use to buy things from Apple and then click the Account Info button. On the Account Information screen, scroll down to the Settings area and click the Manage link next to Subscriptions. On the next screen, click the name of the publication you’d like to cancel and set the button next to Auto-Renewal to Off. Click the Done button.

In the iTunes app in the iPad;

If you prefer to cancel your subscriptions on the iPad, tap the App Store icon. On the main Store screen, flick down to the bottom of the page, tap the Apple ID button and log in to see your account settings. In the Account box, tap the Manage link in the Subscriptions area and then tap the publication you’d like to cancel. Tap the title to get to the screen where you can tap the Auto-Renewal switch to Off, then tap the Done button to close the box.!

These instructions are from the link that TX Mac Man provided below. If neither of these function in your account, you are special indeed and no one here is likely to be able to assist you. In that case contact iTunes customer service.

Then rather than ranting and throwing a tantrum, you might explain that there appears to be an issue with your particular iTunes/Mac App Store account and that you are not finding the ability to cancel. Your comments here make it sound as if those of us who have offered assistance to the Oringinal Poster, whose topic you have highjacked months after the fact, do not know of which we speak.

Special situations such as your's appears to be, almost always require contacting Apple directly, not ranting in a user to user tech support forum.

sorry, didnt mean to mess up your thread

If its not in iTunes then you didn't buy it thru iTunes. Did you possibly buy it thru zinio? You need to go into your zinio app or log into the zinio webpage where you can manage your zinio subscriptions thru there.

If the iTunes does not show any billing info, then it's most likely not purchased thru iTunes. It just shows you have it on the iPad, that's all.

no, i bought on my new iPad from iTunes in Mar
