Extra disks show up in diskutil list

While using the terminal to create a Fusion drive I see multiple small drives in the output on diskutil list.

DIsk 3 - 15 only show up in the output when I boot into the recovery partition (⌘ R). What are these and how do I get rid of them.

I would like to take this a step farther... It seems that I can no longer partition my drive using HFS+ ... and I wonder if it has to do with such a mess in my drive list.  I have disks 2-12 in the same scenario as is listed and also shown in the image above.  My drive can format into FAT and free space with no problem.  However, I can't put Mac OS X 10.10 back on such a file system.  I really need an answer as it comes available so I can get my machine running again.

I can get to Disk Utility and CLI diskutil through the "internet recovery" option.

MacBook Pro (13-inch 2011),  Currently without OS (::sad::)

@djpinter, this may help a little... I tried the following:

diskutil eject disk 2

and that disk is no longer in my list.

Do not attempt to remove them, they're basically RAM disks and are needed for recovery mode to function.
