why does my iphone keep swiching from wifi to l...

My phone keeps switching from wifi to my network provider's lte regardless which wifi network I am using. My software is updated. Any one experiencing a similar problem 

Under what circumstances? The WiFi radio will automatically be powered off after a few minutes when the phone is in standby and it is not connected to an external power source to save battery life. This is normal.

Thanks for your response. Even when I am connected to a power source and streaming a program it swings between wifi and lte

The Wifi signal may be weak or have interference which causes the iPhone to lose it. So it just disconnects. LTE is there os it uses that instead.

 

How far away from the Wifi router are you when this happens?

 

How strong is the signal from the Wifi router?

 

If you get closer does it do it less, or stop doing it?

 

This is generally a sign that there's an issue with the Wifi.
