App crash when printing with Xerox Phaser 7750

I recently updated my late 2012 27" iMac to Sierra. Ever since I have issues printing on my Xerox Phaser 7750. Whenever I try to print a document, the app i try to print out of crashes.

I tried to reinstall the drivers but the issue remains. However - normally the document is printed correctly, but every time the app crashes and unsaved data is lost, which is very annoying. The printer works flawless in terms of hardware and I never had issues prior to updating to Sierra.

Any ideas how to solve this?
